I. Product Features
Thixotropy*: Araldite AV138M/HV998 is suitable for gap filling, with a sag resistance thickness of up to 5mm.
Low Volatility*: Low molecular volatiles, making it suitable for electronic and precision industrial applications.
Corrosion Resistance: Excellent resistance to water, chemical media, and oil.
Wide Applicability: Excellent bonding performance with most substrates.
High Temperature Resistance: Withstands temperatures up to 120 degrees Celsius.

II. Application Scenarios
Araldite AV138M/HV998 is used by craftsmen and is also suitable for most industrial applications. It is ideal for bonding metals, ceramics, glass, rubber, hard plastics, and most common materials. It is a versatile adhesive.


III. Usage Method
1、Pretreatment: It is recommended to clean the bonding surfaces with acetone or isopropanol (for plastics) to remove oil stains, dirt, and dust. Do not use low-grade alcohol, gasoline, or paint thinner with Araldite AV138M/HV998. Mechanically abraded or chemically cleaned surfaces can achieve higher strength and more durable bonding results.

2、Application: This product can be evenly applied to the pretreated bonding surfaces using a spatula. A bonding layer thickness of 0.05-0.10mm typically provides the maximum lap shear strength. Bonded parts should be fully assembled and clamped immediately after applying the adhesive.
